A Day At Izzy’s Buzz HQ

You’re probably wondering how we make the magic happen here, right? Well, it’s pretty simple, we have an office that gives off a vibe so sweet it hurts! All ideas are accepted and appreciated and everyone is zen and motivated! When one of us has an idea too quirky for the room, someone can have a case of (as we call it) spit-coffee-itis! 8.30 am :The office is next to everyone’s house, just walk a few houses down, down little street, into the office! Still 5hours & 30 mins left! Some wake up at 8.30 and come down to drop off their things and then go out someplace, others snooooooooze late into the morning (they can as long as they are here by 10.30, 10.45 is the maximum!) If there is NO school for me (Izzy, duh!) then I start at 8.30, but if there’s school, my timings are same as the Quintessential Crew as we call ’em, or the QuinT Crew!

10.30 am :We offer brekkie in case there are early birds, if there aren’t, (which is rare, especially with interns and newcomers), then all the more for us! Our resident chefs, Nicole & Madison, always cook the most delish snacks, from organic granola bars, to organic and gluten-free pasta… Employees & Interns can subscribe for a month of Brekkie, Lunch & Dinner (optional) for the total of 220, you can choose from 5 things, for example last ,last Monday we had:Gluten Free Pasta Arrabbiata, Caesar SaladVegan/Vegetarian or Meat Tacos Asparagus & Fish, Steamed Carrots & Cooked Mushrooms. All employees & interns had to choose the day before as to purchase ingredients & get ready!

12.30 to 1.30 pm :Everyone has a 1hour break, some go home, some go to our lounge room, some to the pool, others to the beach and a couple of people to the zen place.The Lounge Room is almost everyone’s fave room, who can blame us, it’s ‘THE ROOM OF THE CENTURY’, IT HAS EVERYTHING, a pool table, a hockey table, a TV, a Playstation and best of all, a SLUSHIE MAKER!!

1.40 pm :Work starts again, let everything go smoothly, aah…. *BEEP BEEP*, the cameras have seen something and someone’s pressed the button to alert us!! Quicklier, Monica! (BTW, not sure about ‘quicklier’ but it’ll fit for now!). Oh, false alarm, just some guy who went in our parking spots (I’m starting to doubt whether people read the signs, it literally said ‘Do NOT park here or your vehicle will be towed away! *Scoff*, people these days..)

2.30 pm :Works ending soon…. @ 3.30 to be exact and everyone’s merrily trying their hardest, some are trying to get into the kitchen, but the cooks are giving them *that* look , food is precious to Nicole & Madison, they say “One day…I’m gonna make onions cry,”, and the sneak dashes off! Life as a Buzzer really is so perfect, you can become one!!
