As much as we love anime, these characters helped us love it even more. Since there are many anime characters, we thought writing about 11 was substantial, and if asked, we are willing to make another post about the best anime characters!!!
If you agree, or don’t agree with some of them. The polls below them will tell us how you feel about these characters!
1. L Lawliet, Death Note
We know we’ve mentioned L a few times, but he is really one of the best anime characters, he might be a heck of an INTP and his deduction skills are *OHHHH* and he might have a sugar addiction and weird habits, but these things make him one of the most loved anime characters of all time!
2. Haruhi, Ouran High School Host Club
Haruhi is mistaken for a boy, when she breaks the Host Club vase they want to auction for money, she becomes a host. She pretty much breaks the gender barrier while maintaining sweet in a heartfelt show. Sweet stuff.
3. Lelouch Lamperouge, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Although he says different things than what he thinks, he’s a good ol’ antihero. After consulting our friend, Wiki and her brother, Pedia, we found that an antihero is someone who isn’t the traditional hero that’s all like ‘justice, peace, love, yay!, rainbows, happiness’ and has qualities that a traditional hero would not have. Some have said he has become quite antagonistic over the series, and there’s a lot of blood and violence, it’s 16+, so we recommend you watch it later, if you’re not 14-15+! Just from what we’ve said, you might be able to judge this intelligent, arrogant anti hero and whether he should be considered one of the best anime characters down below!
4. Saiki Kusuo, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
Although he says all of his friends are ‘self-proclaimed’, he obviously has fun watching this show as much as the viewers do. He, too, is a good ol’ INTP and communicates via telepathy. He has ESP and has all the listed abilities:
- Astral Projection
- He can fly and levitate
- Mind Control
- Memory Alteration
- Psychic Hold
- Ability to make things bigger/smaller
- Song Cancellation Laser
- Super Strength
- False Sweating
- 9 types of telepathy
- Time Travel
That was something!
5. Monkey D. Luffy, One Piece
Like almost all animes, One Piece is derived from the manga version. Luffy is a carefree, optimistic, adventure seeking and craving pirate with a bounty of 1.5 billion. He’s a simple and naive guy. And makes sure not to have his adventure ruined when he says that he doesn’t want to know if the treasure exists or not, where it is, what it is etc. Apparently, the One Piece fandom states that his behavior has been compared to that of a wild animal’s. Talk about candor…!
6. Izuku Midoriya, My Hero Academia
Midoriya is a shy, reserved, mumbly boy. Everyone in his class has powers. He lives in a world where almost everyone has a power. But he doesn’t. And thus he goes to a Hero Academia to fix that. He is mainly timid and reserved because he has low self esteem, due to the fact that he doesn’t have a Quirk *power*. Overall, he just wants to bring to the world a sweet, smiling hero! 🙂
7. Ayumi Otosaka, Charlotte
If you watch Charlotte, you’ll know how sweet Ayumi is. She’s obsessed with space and takes great care of her brother. Even if the food she makes isn’t the best, at least she makes it for him and inks a special message on top with pizza sauce. The main character, Yuu, is rude to her and yet she isn’t rude back. The GIF is her when she hears he older brother, the main character, saying he met *name of the idol she adores*.
8. Chihiro, Spirited Away
See that Kinokuniya bag there, I recommend, it is a great bookstore (: Chihiro, in Spirited Away is quite cautious with where she goes, but she has a great attitude and is willing to work without uttering a word for a place to stay. If you haven’t watched Spirited Away yet, then I really recommend it. It is available on Netflix, along with other masterpieces of Hayao Miyazaki! She is one of the best characters because she is persistent and decisive, she goes for what she wants and adapts to everything that goes on, whereas most people would scream and complain if their parents turned into pigs, and spirits floated around them. She’s also sweet and does not complain about this weird adventure.
9. Spike Speigel, Cowboy Bebop
Spike is the main character of Cowboy Bebop. And even though he may not look it, he’s from Mars. So he’s practically a Martian. His date of birth is June 26th 2044, so his due date to appear is in quite a while…What I don’t understand is how he’s 27 *estimate* in his own show, but he’s not even born… I know it’s fictional, I know ;). He’s pretty lazy, and spends his time lounging and sleeping. He’s not much of a go-getter or a doer and more of a ‘oh, this would be cool’, ‘what if’ etc etc…
10. Naruto, Naruto Shippuden
When you run across the field like that Naruto GIF above this sentence, you’re bound to actually think it’s a good show. In a few ways, Naruto is a bit like Luffy. He’s easygoing, fun loving and simple and optimistic. And his signature run makes everything all the better! He’s pretty happy-go-lucky and a definite ENFP! He’s one of the best anime characters because, a) his run sparked fun in PE, where you would usually never find it, b) he has a great personality and isn’t too arrogant or stuff like that! C) he enjoys pranking very much but who can blame him and d) he’s very loyal and willing to sacrifice himself for his friends!
11. Killua Zoldyck, Hunter x Hunter
Killua is a sweet person, although he’s rebellious and can be rude, he did a lot and is a great analyst and thinker when others need help. He didn’t have the best upbringing and that makes for his occasional briskness. He can be bloodthirsty and would put himself first. He has a gambling addiction and although he can seem evil, he is willing to destroy anyone who threatens Gon or himself.
Okay dokay, Buzzers, we hope you have enjoyed today’s article and keep looking out for more (it’ll be raining articles and stories/cats and dogs!)
