How To Write A Good Story *Part 2/5*

Okay, so now you decided on the plot, characters, setting . . . all that! Of course, sometimes, when you want to write a new story, an idea just pops into your head, and you go from there. But if you’re struggling, you can always look up some good ways, or ask me! 🙂

So, back to writing your story! This is also another hard part. You need to know the theme / genre — as in, if it’s a slice of life book, drama, comedy, romance, sci-fi . . . — and also the beginning. Here, you need to start writing your story. Maybe start with some speech, action, suspense . . . of course, you don’t have to, but sometimes, it makes the readers hooked and want to read more. My advice is trash, but don’t always start your story with “Hi, my name is . . .” because, no offense, that’s kind of an overrated start-of-story thing, and it’s pretty boring. Once again, my advice is trash, and you can do whatever you want, it’s your story. Maybe if you listen to a specific song, that’ll get you started well, and give you the exact vibe you want to give. It works for me! And I’ve found plenty of other authors it works for too! You might want to introduce the characters even the slightest bit, even make a draft if needed. You can always edit it later, in case you missed something, or it’s just not what you wanted. I sure do that a lot! But enough about me!
