This song by Ava Max, which I read a bit about on Wikipedia to learn more about, is apparently the ‘first single exclusively released from the digital reissue of Max’s debut studio album Heaven & Hell (2020)’ taken from Wikipedia. If people from previous generations think this song sounds similar (or people from current generations who prefer older songs) it’s because it has a bit of another song in it. In music class at school we learned about what ‘sampling’ was, but in this song they used ‘interpolation’ which is where you ‘re-record’ the melody of the song you want to use, as opposed to sampling it. It used the song ‘Around the World (La La La La La)’ and what a coincidence, because this song itself was a cover of ‘Pesenka’ and then yet another coincidence would be that the people who co-wrote this song also wrote the original ‘Pesenka.’ What a coincidental, funny, somewhat entertaining turn of events.
But.
There are no coincidences.
